FEEDBACK & REVIEWS

Bryan Ruby, Professional Baseball Player, Country Music Songwriter
Ashley is experienced, organized, always professional, and creative. I would highly recommend her services in graphic design and talent booking. If there is something Ashley needs to do, she does it on time and with care. My only regret about working with Ashley is that I wish we could have started working together sooner!

Chance Gray, Merchandise Manager - Jason Isbell
I have had the pleasure of knowing Ashley and working with her on various projects for a decade now. She’s one of my favorite people to work with and be around. She approaches work and life with a zest and a passion to help others, using her wide variety of skills to do so. She’s bright, bubbly, focused, efficient and effective. Truly one or the best humans I’ve been able to meet and work with over the years.

Adam Dalton, Musician/Graphic Designer
I've had the great opportunity to work with Ashley both as a Graphic Designer and Talent Buyer! When I managed the Nashville CD Manufacturer, NTS Promedia, she was our go to local graphic designer for artists looking for great album design. Years later, she now books my bluegrass band, The Tennessee Warblers. In both cases, her passion and attention to detail make her a true professional.

Bradford Loomis, Musician at Lineage Artistry, award winning singer-songwriter
Ashley Evans is an absolute gem. From being an extremely gifted photographer and designer to being a dynamic entrepreneur she never misses an opportunity to give to her community and be a tireless advocate for the arts. On top of all of that, she is a person of profound character and kindness. If you have an opportunity to work with her, don't pass it up.

Jeffrey Kelly, Singer-songwriter / Performing Artist
Outside of my civil engineering career, I do moonlight as a touring musician. Working independently in that realm, the successes and failures of scheduled events rest heavily on the input and efforts of the booking management at each event location (bar, restaurant, clubs, etc.). I have played many places, and I find that the venues that truly standout are the ones managed by selfless, intelligent, and forward thinking individuals. Ashley is most certainly one of the best booking managers I have had the pleasure to work with, and truly strives to cater to the artists and provide respectable compensation for entertainment services. Nashville, TN is by no means an easy place for original artists to make money while on the road, but Ashley makes sure the artists get paid, fed, and leave with a smile each and every time!

Teri O’Brian, Singer at Bronte Fall
Ashley Evans, web designer, graphic designer/artist, booker/talent buyer, maker of all the things for social media, photographer, friend, and someone who will design a poster and/or IG Post for me at the snap of a finger! She legit does EVERYTHING. I couldn’t have gotten through these last 2 EP Releases without you, Ash! Lucky are the ones who get to have you by their side!

James Carothers, Singer-songwriter / Performing Artist
Ashley is an outstanding communicator and brings world class professionalism to the table in all of the events, venues, and individual artists/bands that she works for. Ashley uses her abilities to, basically, make things easy for the venues and performers at the same time. She’s awesome.

Andy Kahrs, Singer-songwriter / Performing Artist
Ashley is a phenomenal booking agent. She is exceptionally well-organized, enthusiastic and passionate about our industry, and an excellent communicator. Nothing slips through the cracks with her. She is so supportive of artists and really cares about building connections between audiences, musicians, and other professionals. I highly recommend working with her.

Andy Geels, Singer-songwriter / Performing Artist
Since moving to Nashville, Ashley Evans has been consistently one of the kindest and most hard working bookers I've encountered. I believe we've worked together for a couple of years now, and I've been lucky enough to play quite a few shows for her. She is consistently thoughtful and considerate, extremely generous with her time, and dedicated to those she works with. In an industry that can often feel dispassionate and impersonal, Ashley remains open, honest, professional, and compassionate towards those she works with. I couldn't recommend working with her more.

Molly Brown, Singer-songwriter / Performing Artist
Ashley is an absolute joy to work with. Whether it's graphic design, venue management, booking live music or entrepreneurial efforts, she's always 10 steps ahead of the game with a huge smile on her face. She's prompt, scarily organized and deeply, deeply passionate for her work. Everyone needs an Ashley in their life.

Tristen Smith, Singer-songwriter, performing artist of Lazy Jane (band)
I’ve been fortunate to get to know Ashley and work with her over the last year since she took over as the talent buyer at the Sutler Saloon. She is a diligent music professional with excellent communication and organizational skills and is an absolute gem to work with. The ongoing pandemic has cut everyone to the core and has exposed us all for who we really are and what we really want. Ashley has handled it all with grace and professionalism. She has kept all of us artists well informed of the ever-changing city and state guidelines for our gigs and has done an excellent job of taking care of her artists by creating a balanced entertainment schedule at the Sutler so we all have the opportunity to get out and play. She has also offered up additional work at other venues for us to allow more opportunities to play, generate income and exposure at a time when it’s hard to do. Ashley a closer who takes her job seriously, does it well, and follows through. I honestly can’t recommend her enough!

Alex Root-Roatch, Owner of SoundRoots Productions, worked with Ashley at both Tin Roof Broadway Nashville, The Sutler Saloon, and the stages at Slate 22. Ashley is one of the most passionate and professional people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. She is an extremely effective communicator and never gives less than 110%, whether she’s talent buying, graphic designing, or building your website. She’s an inspiration to what loving your job really means.

Constance Scharff, Award Winning, Best-Selling Author and Speaker

Ashley is a wonderful artist (photography/graphic design) and concert promoter. For the past four years, she has volunteered to market a monthly concert to raise funds for the nonprofit Rock to Recovery. During the pandemic, she sought creative fundraising efforts to support the program, even when the venue she worked with was closed or on limited operation. Ashley is bright, outgoing, and great at making an ask. Her creativity and the quality of her photography and graphic design helped make our fundraising efforts successful. Ashley is a delight to have on a team. I look forward to continuing to work with her on projects in the future.

Equal parts professional and passionate about getting the absolute best product, presentation and concepts to your patrons!

Leslie Jespersen, Creator & Consultant | Entertainment & Events
Ashley is a hard working, reliable, and creative businesswoman. She goes above and beyond for her clients with care and precision!

Lisa Johnsen, house concert host of one of my artists
Ashley helped us schedule, coordinate, and execute our very first backyard concert in September 2021. She provided helpful hints, based on her wealth of experience from previously coordinating these types of events, and she was available any time I had questions. She ensured the performing artist had everything he needed as well, and she checked in with me the days leading up the event, the day of, and afterwards to find out how it went. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for assistance/guidance in booking a concert, either as a performing artist or a as host, to work with Ashley!

Great and professional person to work with! Great and professional person to work with!

Collin Bartley, World Wide Sales Program Manager at VMware
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Ashley on multiple projects over the past couple of years and her level of leadership, passion, and attention to detail makes her THE complete professional. Outside of work, her focus on charities like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital illustrates her ability to go above and beyond for others and raise awareness for those in need of support.

Steve Alexander, Event Planner Specializing in: Sporting Events, Concert Venues and Unique VIP Corporate Outings.
When it comes to work ethic, networking and professionalism Ashley is a 10. Had the pleasure to have her on our great team at 3639 Wrigley Rooftop. We would always ask for cutting edge ideas in marketing, social media and promoting our great product. She would always come back with well thought out ideas and concepts, that were exactly what we were looking for and could be applied to our specific operation.
I'm hoping this helps someone that's on the fence about reaching out to her for her expertise and phenomenal services. You won't be disappointed.

Eric Acevedo, Product Manager, Digital Experiences at Ulta Beauty

Ashley Evans is great at representing herself as a well rounded designer, photographer, manager and general awesome person! Love working with her; you will too!

Timothy Weaver, ESPN.com
Using the power of sport to deliver results for business, bring us together and having a little fun along the way. When I've had a few clients that have been in need of some design and layout work for their digital marketing, print and outdoor campaigns, there was only one person I'd call first - Ashley Evans. She handles herself in a professional manner and takes the time to listen to the client to find out what they really need. She has a great personality and is very easy to work with and never missed a deadline. In fact, she would usually deliver the creative with plenty of time to review, even under short deadlines.

Lauren Leonard, LifeTime Fitness Media & Advertising
Ashley is an enjoyable person to work with because she communicates well, is responsible, efficient, highly organized, and detail oriented. She is also very knowledgeable of her position and of Life Time Fitness as a whole. I often rely on her to help me with special projects and new ideas to better help our media team. She is an irreplaceable asset to the team!

Pamela Anderson, LifeTimes Fitness Sr. Market Development Specialist
Ashley is a very driven and talented individual who always gives 110% to everything she does. I could always rely on her to get the job done and get it done right, and she was always willing to go the extra mile. I would hire Ashley again in a heartbeat.Ashley is a very driven and talented individual who always gives 110% to everything she does. Ashley is a very detail oriented and conscientious worker. She works well independently and can be trusted to get any job done accurately and on time. Ashley also goes "above and beyond" the call of duty often. She gets very high recommendations from me.

••Artists messages to Ashley upon The Sutler closing, and her time as Talent Buyer there for 2.5 years••

Lazy Jane
Ashley - YOU have been a rockstar! When the energy of the place started to dwindle, you came in and revitalized the venue. You removed the Broadway and created a place that artists could look forward to putting on a true original show, for a built in audience. That has been so helpful for the psyche, the development of new fans, the refining of a proper show, and to test out new material. You were one of the only people who looked out for artists to send some work our way during the pandemic. We can’t begin to express our gratitude for that properly. To the fans: Earlier this week, we were super sad to hear that The Sutler will be closing its doors this Sunday for good. We owe them a lot for allowing us to sonically find ourselves on that stage for the last 7 years. It’s been one of our favorite stages to play in town and to say it will be missed is an understatement. Shoutout to Ashley for booking us to play one final hoorah there TONIGHT. Thanks for the memories, Sutler Fam.

Lazer & Levi
Devastated to wake up to the news that The Sutler Saloon is permanently closing. The Sutler was the first place to have us play regularly AND encouraged full original sets and supported local talent here in Nashville. We couldn’t be more grateful for Ashley being so amazing and supportive. It will forever be a part of our history. <3 love y’all so much

Nicole Boggs & The Reel
Super sad about this one. The Sutler had given us a place to play original music for new audiences for many years now. A million thank you’s to Ashley, who steered the ship and made it all possible.

AJAYE
I’m incredibly sad to hear that the historical Sutler is closing down. This venue is full of so many fond memories. This stage has been an incredible place to showcase original music, and i want to send a special thank you to Ashley for supporting artists like myself, and to everyone at The Sutler who has always been so welcoming and kind.

Gwen Levey & The Breakdown
We are heartbroken to announce our home venue The Sutler will be abruptly closing its doors this weekend. The Sutler has been a venue The Breakdown has had a chance to grow and develop for years and we thank Ashley Evans, Papa Raines, and everyone at The Sutler for the opportunities they have given us.

Ronny Criss
Thanks for all your hard work there and your tremendous support of artists in Nashville! Sad news in deed!

Lance & Lea
You are the best! Thank you Ashley for all that you do for us and original artists in Nashville.

Tarrish Potter
Such great memories performing at the Sutler; it will surely be missed. Thanks for all you did for us Ashley. So sorry to hear the doors are closing so quick.

Heather Batchelor
Ashley is one of the most badass women in Nashville. So lucky to call her a friend. Thankful for all she does to support original artists.

Brian Levy (artist manager)
Thanks for your assistance booking the last few months. A pleasure to deal with. Much appreciated. I sure hope you continue on in some capacity at another venue in town.

Shawn Mayer
Love love that place so much !! Loved playing there .. thank you for giving ME the opportunity to play that stage many times Ashley!

Jay Bragg
This morning I woke up to news that made my heart sink. The Sutler Saloon in Nashville will be permanently closing its doors at the end of the week. The Sutler was booked by my dear friend Ashley, who worked tirelessly to curate a lineup of gifted artists that was different than the rest of the stages in Nashville. It wasn’t a conveyor belt of CMA stardom wannabes or Lower Broadway acts pumping out the generic honky tonk playlist. These were artists that were working on their own dream and not compromising their art for the allure of tribal acceptance to the mainstream. Not only were the artists and musicians treated with the utmost dignity, we were well compensated for our work in a time where most businesses seek to exploit the most out of the talent while offering little to nothing in return.

Ashley and The Sutler were the one bastion of live music throughout the pandemic. Because of the venue’s “restaurant” zoning classification, we were able to keep the music going on the stage when literally every other stage was closed. The Sutler and Ashley were a lifeline to hundreds of musicians during what was probably the darkest time of our professional lives. It also provided a refuge for the live music starved public to have a place to congregate for the love of music and community. The Sutler was also a place I felt comfortable inviting my family, knowing they would be in a safe place, with world class music, wonderful food and drinks and a chance sit, listen and experience the best of Nashville from all walks of life. Personally, I am sad. This news equates to another dagger in the heart of the essence of a music first Nashville for the sake of the financially motivated transition to a full blown Nashvegas - where it’s all party all the time and to hell with the rest.

I’m going to miss The Sutler. I’m going to miss having a stage that I can play my own music, try out new material, connect with music lovers who need a refuge from the chaos of downtown or the exclusivity of other more industry-forward pockets of town. I’m gonna miss a stage where my job description was to always be true to myself and my art. And I know there are a lot of other artists who feel the same so perhaps we need to create it ourselves.
